[Question]

Tell me about a memorable incident that happened at a coffee shop.

- What happened? Who was involved?

- How did you deal with the situation?

- Tell me everything about what happened from beginning to end.

[3Second question of First combo set]

I have the perfect story to tell you.

Ok..(생각하고 있다는 것을 보여줘야 함) I have the perfect story to tell you. /

Hmm.. alright, I think I have the perfect story. / Ok, you know what? I have the perfect story.

Mmm, I once borrowed my boyfriend’s laptop and I was waiting for him at Twosome Place.

Hmm, I once borrowed my boyfriend’s laptop and I pretty much got into a big fight with him because of that at Twosome Place. (Past Experience, Main Point 먼저 말하기) Oh, I found him so annoying.

You know, all of a sudden, I felt like going to the washroom. So, I left leaving the laptop on the table.

Extra Detail

ex) I recycle because I have to. I mean, it’s pretty easy and so I don’t really complain about it. I just do it because, well, I know that it’s my responsibility.

Then, my boyfriend came to the coffee shop and he was shocked to see the laptop alone.

You know, he couldn’t believe that I left to go to the washroom without taking the laptop.

And, what you have to realize is that he was being very paranoid about his laptop. And you know, when I came back, he was like, “Hey, are you crazy? What are(were) you thinking?” And this made my blood boil to the max.

Past Experience에 맞게 Direct Quotation(직접 화법) 사용, Idiom(관용구) - made my blood boil 사용, to the max 같이 감정을 표현할 때는 천천히 to, the, max!

And I couldn’t believe how obnoxious(몹시 기분이 나쁜) he was being. And uh.. what am I trying to say..

Phrase(관용구) - couldn’t believe how

ex) I couldn’t believe how beautiful the mountain was. / I couldn’t believe how stuffed I was.

Fillers

ex) What am I trying to say.. / What am I saying.. / How can I explain this.. / How should I explain this..

Uh, we ended up fighting and he apologized for being stupid. And so, we were able to make up in the end.

IH 느낌: And so, we made up. / AL 느낌: And so, we were able to make up.

<Conclusion>

Hmm.. alright, I think I have the perfect story.

I once borrowed my girlfriend’s laptop and I pretty much got into a big fight with her because of that at Twosome Place.

You know, all of a sudden, I felt like going to the washroom. So I left leaving the laptop on the table and just go away.

Then, my girlfriend came to the coffee shop and she was shocked to see the laptop alone.

And, what you have to realize is that she was being very paranoid about her laptop. And you know, when I came back, she was like, “Hey, are you crazy? What are(were) you thinking?” And this made my blood boil to the max.

And I couldn’t believe how obnoxious she was being. And uh.. what am I trying to say..

Oh, we ended up fighting and she apologized for being stupid. And so, we were able to make up in the end.

Use simple words you are totally confident in using.

4. Don’t use 2 descriptive or feeling words using “and”.

7. Make “honest excuses” later. Not in the beginning.
