A: I really love listening to KPOP these days, because it’s just so upbeat.

But, you know, in the past.. I didn't like K-pop at all.

Because I thought idol songs were just commercial songs.

However, you know, BTS has become famous around the world,

and I changed my mind when I heard some good songs from idol songs.

So I am listening to KPOP very well now.

I think there are so many changes compared to the past.

[Question Comparison]

Think about what you did during your free time as a child.

-Do you have more free time now than when you were a child?

-Tell me about your free time now compared to when you were a child.

[Answer]

Um, alright. I think I didn’t do anything much when I was (a) child during my free time(whenever I had free time).

ex) I went to Japan last year and, you know, I didn’t do anything much. All I did was eat. / You know, whenever I go to a coffee shop, I don't’ do all that much. All I do is get a cup of coffee and study.

Aud um, at that time [during those times, back then], I really liked to stayed at home and relax.

And my mom was usually like, “Rachel, did you do your homework?!” or “Rachel, clean your room!”

Double Direct Quotations(직접 화법) 사용

Whenever I had my free time, she always nagged at me to do something more productive.

nag(잔소리를 늘어놓다)

And um, I found it so annoying. And I never understood why she wouldn’t (just) let me be.

계속해서 Mom’s nagging에 대해서 느낀 감정을 얘기

But now, I have more freedom from my mom. And um, whenever I had(have) a my free time, I really like to go to the movies.

“go to the movie theater.“ 보다 좀 더 natural

And um, luckily, there’s (a) movie theater nearby my home.

And, I think I’m starting to get old now because I don’t feel like going too far. You know what I mean.

진행중인 시제를 ”be starting to”로 표현함, 과거시제 표현으로는 “I decided to go somewhere / I decided to do this”가 있음 / 그리고 “I feel like / I don’t feel like / I felt like / I didn’t feel like”처럼 훨씬 더 느낌적인 표현 많이 사용하기

And um, I’m not sure if I have more free time now as an adult, but what is for certain is that I have, definitely, more freedom from my mom’s nagging.

<Conclusion>
